THE DRAMATIC FIRE OF SEPTEMBER 2025
On the night of September 24–25, 2025, a devastating fire severely damaged Médavy Castle, a true jewel of Orne’s heritage.
Thanks to the bravery of firefighters and gendarmes, and the water reserve in the moat, part of the building and some of its collections were saved.
THE PROJECT
The owners and the Friends of Médavy are committed to rebuilding and reviving this emblematic site, so that it can once again play a central role in the cultural and tourist life of Orne and the Normandy region.
